A native of Newark, New Jersey, Jack attended 24 schools throughout the USA and Argentina before settling in Australia. In 1978, armed with a bachelor's degree in business communication and 12-months experience in public relations, Jack pursued his life’s burning ambition - to play jazz guitar like Wes Montgomery. Two years and lots of gigs later, his career in advertising began.
After paying his dues in advertising agencies for six years, Jack became a sought after and highly awarded freelance writer from the mid 80s to the early 90s. He then returned to agency life, holding the position of Creative Director with international agencies, Mojo and Foote Cone & Belding (FCB) in New Zealand and McCann Erickson in Brisbane before co-founding HarrisonNess.
Jack enjoys driving his family to distraction with cuicas, guiros, shekeres, timbales, congas, and other latin-percussion instruments. He also plays guitar with bands and musician-friends from time to time.
